Job Description
We are seeking a talented and committed Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will support the Head Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations, maintaining food quality, and supervising staff. This role requires culinary creativity, strong leadership, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in overseeing kitchen operations and meal preparation

Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and productivity

Ensure all dishes meet the restaurant’s standards for taste, quality, and presentation

Manage inventory, ordering, and proper storage of ingredients and supplies
-
Enforce strict hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety protocols
-
Train, mentor, and evaluate junior kitchen staff

Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure timely and seamless service

Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness

Participate in menu planning, recipe development, and food cost control

Report kitchen performance updates and concerns to the Head Chef
Requirements
-
3–5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting
-
OND, HND, or Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred)

Strong leadership and team coordination skills

Excellent culinary knowledge, including modern cooking techniques and food safety standards

Ability to perform under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment

Keen eye for detail and high standards of food presentation

Strong communication and time-management abilities

Professional demeanor and neat personal appearance

Must reside in Abuja (preferably close to or within Wuse 2)
