Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager to oversee the organization’s HR operations and support the development of a high-performing workforce. The successful candidate will be responsible for talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, staff development, HR policies, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage the full recruitment and selection process, including interviews, onboarding, and employee orientation.
  • Develop and maintain effective employee performance management systems.
  • Manage employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary matters professionally.
  • Develop staff training, learning, and career development initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Monitor attendance, leave, payroll inputs, and other employee-related processes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Nigerian labour laws and company policies.
  • Advise management on HR matters, workforce planning, compensation, and employee engagement.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture and initiatives that improve employee retention and productivity.
  • Prepare HR reports and provide management with insights on workforce trends.
  • Work closely with department heads to identify staffing and organizational development needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of proven HR experience, preferably within financial services, banking, fintech, insurance, or a related industry.
  • Professional HR certification such as CIPM, SHRM, or HRCI is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian employment and labour regulations.
  • Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong leadership and people-management abilities.
  • High level of confidentiality, professionalism, and integrity.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR management systems.
