Job Summary

A reputable restaurant in Wuse 2, Abuja is seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join its culinary team.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in food preparation, kitchen organization, and delivering high-quality meals while maintaining excellent hygiene and safety standards.

The role requires someone passionate about cooking, efficient in a fast-paced environment, and capable of supporting smooth kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide variety of meals according to the restaurant’s menu and quality standards.

• Ensure proper seasoning, portioning, and presentation of dishes.

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and hygiene across all kitchen areas.

• Monitor food inventory, storage, and usage to minimize waste.

• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

• Assist in planning daily menus and specials when required.

• Ensure timely preparation of meals during peak hours.

• Coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.

• Inspect ingredients for quality and freshness.

• Adhere strictly to recipes, cooking procedures, and portion sizes.

• Support in receiving and stocking deliveries.

Requirements

• 3–5 years’ proven experience as a Cook in a restaurant or hospitality setting.

• Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent understanding of hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to multitask and maintain consistency in food quality.

• Culinary training or certification is an added advantage.

• Good organizational and time-management abilities.

• Attention to detail and passion for quality cooking.
