Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented, trustworthy, and experienced Accountant to manage our financial operations.

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting operations of the restaurant.
• This includes bookkeeping, budgeting, financial reporting, reconciliation, inventory cost tracking, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports including income statements, cash flow, and balance sheets
• Monitor and record day-to-day restaurant transactions (sales, expenses, payroll, inventory, etc.)
• Manage accounts payable and receivable
• Track inventory usage and reconcile stock reports with purchases and usage
• Prepare tax documents and liaise with auditors or regulatory bodies when required
• Assist in budget preparation and expense control
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
• Advise management on financial decisions and cost-saving opportunities
• Implement internal controls and ensure adherence to financial procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum of 2 – 4 years accounting experience (experience in hospitality or retail is an advantage)
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage, Excel)
• Sound understanding of financial reporting and taxation in Nigeria
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Integrity and ability to handle confidential information professionally.
