Job Summary:
A reputable restaurant in Wuse 2, Abuja is looking to hire a skilled and innovative Pastry Chef to lead its pastry section. Key Responsibilities:

Design and prepare a wide variety of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods.

Develop new dessert recipes and seasonal pastry menus.

Lead and manage the pastry team to ensure efficiency and quality control.

Ensure consistent taste, texture, and presentation of all pastry items.

Monitor ingredient inventory and assist with stock ordering as needed.

Oversee food preparation methods and uphold food safety and hygiene standards.

Coordinate with the executive chef and kitchen team on menu planning and event catering.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and maintenance of the pastry station and equipment.

Train and mentor junior pastry staff to uphold kitchen standards and support professional growth.
Requirements:

4–7 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar senior pastry role in a reputable kitchen.

Mastery of classic and modern pastry techniques, including plated desserts and artisan confections.

Strong creativity and innovation in dessert presentation and flavor profiles.

Proven ability to manage and lead a pastry team effectively.

Excellent time-management, multitasking, and organizational skills.

Thorough knowledge of ingredient properties, baking science, and food safety regulations.

Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Culinary degree or professional pastry certification is a strong advantage.
