Oppidan Education champions children’s mentorship. We are a community of 150+ mentors dedicated to changing the way children value their education, working one-to-one with families and in schools across the maintained and independent sectors. The company is a fast-paced, dynamic team of 15 based by the Thames in Hammersmith.
We run programmes in 120+ schools across the world; this includes UK state and independent schools across the primary, prep and secondary age phases as well as international schools in the USA, South Korea, Spain and Thailand.
Job Outline
We are looking for an experienced administrative professional to spearhead the delivery of our programmes across diverse schools. This will suit someone will organisational rigour, exceptional communication and administrative capabilities and a demonstrable track record in programme coordination. Excited by the impact of mentorship reaching more young people, this person will thrive in a fast-paced environment that values autonomy, accountability and operational precision. You will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless implementation of Oppidan’s expanding portfolio of school programmes worldwide.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong technical proficiency, including experience with CRM platforms, workflow automation tools, and cloud-based communication and scheduling systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent work streams with precision and accountability.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to tailor messaging to varied stakeholders: school leaders and mentors.
- Prior experience in an educational setting is desirable.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset, comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
School Programme Coordination
- Act as the primary liaison for partner schools to coordinate the end-to-end delivery of Oppidan’s schools programmes.
- Manage the full programme lifecycle using internal systems, including CRM-driven workflow automation, ensuring timely completion of key delivery steps such as invoicing, data reporting, timetable coordination and impact evaluation with school leadership.
- Ensure safeguarding compliance by completing the safeguarding documentation required by our partner schools.
Mentor Leadership & Operational Support
- Select and staff our schools mentors to all our schools programmes, based on their skills and availability.
- Oversee our Oppidan reports proofreading team.
- Write and monitor targeted communications to Oppidan’s mentor team for each school day, including some out of hours communication where travel or staffing issues arise for mentor teams.
- Work in collaboration with the wider schools team to uphold the highest standards of programme delivery.
Benefits
- Start date: 3 days paid training in July (flexible), then start date no later than the final week of August.
- Salary: £35,000 – £45,000, depending on experience and working schedule.
- Commission structure: annually agreed fractional percentage of total revenue in schools.
- Contract type: full-time, permanent, with scope to discuss school holidays.
- Flexible working: Tuesday to Thursday office days, with scope to discuss flexible hours.
- Extended WFH: allowance to use 2 weeks pa fully remote.

- 30 days’ holiday allowance, this includes ‘closed office’ week in late July (5 days)
