Job Summary:

A fast-growing retail store in Guzape, Abuja is looking to hire a diligent and organized Inventory / Store Keeper to manage stock levels, track inventory movement, and ensure accurate record-keeping of all store items. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, trustworthy, and capable of maintaining efficient inventory systems to support smooth store operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and record all incoming stock and materials.

  • Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to ensure easy accessibility and orderliness.

  • Track inventory levels daily and prepare regular stock reports.

  • Ensure accurate documentation of stock movements — incoming, outgoing, and returned items.

  • Conduct routine stock counts and reconcile discrepancies promptly.

  • Monitor product expiry dates, damages, and report shortages or excesses.

  • Work closely with procurement and sales teams to forecast inventory needs.

  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize losses and waste.

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety within the store or warehouse area.

  • Support restocking, labeling, and shelf arrangement when needed.

  • Assist in logistics coordination for product transfers or deliveries.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc. in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.

  • 2–3 years of proven experience as an Inventory Officer, Store Keeper, or similar role.

  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and record-keeping.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in stock management.

  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Honest, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
