Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Sous Chef to join the culinary team. The successful candidate will support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, supervising kitchen staff, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. This position demands culinary expertise, leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering top-notch dishes consistently.
Key Responsibilities

Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen management and meal preparation

Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff activities to maintain efficiency

Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control meet restaurant standards

Oversee inventory, ingredient ordering, and proper storage practices

Maintain strict hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen

Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their skills

Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service flow

Manage kitchen equipment maintenance and cleanliness

Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and food costing

Report kitchen performance and any operational issues to the Head Chef
Requirements

3โ4 years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality environment

Culinary degree or certification preferred (OND, HND, or Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related fields)

Strong leadership and team management skills

Excellent knowledge of food preparation, hygiene, and safety standards

Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting

Attention to detail and high standards for food quality and presentation

Reside in Abuja, preferably within or near Wuse 2
